An archive is always synonymous with wealth. An intangible wealth that is composed of memories, affection, memory and beauty. A wealth that catapults us into a past that, even if it does not affect everyone directly, becomes a testimony of personal experiences that in the incessant flow of time lose their original space-time dimension to rise to a universal and collective event in which each of us can find our own present.   

With the exhibition “In the past we trust” spread through the streets of the village of Fiumefreddo and made possible thanks to the invaluable collaboration of Mr. Italo Amendola, we want to give ourselves and grant you the opportunity to take a journey through the memory of some of the people who lived and populated those same streets that today, many decades later, welcome us by becoming the plot of a story in which we are almost protagonists and those faces imprinted in the images, spectators of their own history.
